New Entry for Peep Shows
I decided that I would try to work on something new over my lunch today. Its been a while since I ventured into anything erotic and so, I began a piece in my Peek Shows folder that centers around a character I've been developing for some time. Writing erotic is challenging, even if one has a comfortable time thinking and talking about sex as I always have. Taking those thoughts and trying to form words that lend themselves well to forming credible, erotically charged sex scenes in the minds of readers is actually daunting. Erotica has long been one of my favorite genres though, as much for the challenge as the freedom it requires to write it. I'd characterize my erotica as mild. I've yet to be able to find the expression necessary to transfer some of my more unconventional fantasies into words. I've read a lot of amazing stuff though, powerfully stimulating pieces that crawl into your bed at night at tug at your most primitive places leaving you exhausted with wet possibilities. My favorite part about writing erotica is seeing how far I will go, how deeply I will delve into my darker places. Erotic for me is about heat and sex, rage and violent whispers in darkness, hot and disturbing enough to make you just a little uncomfortable but enticing at the same time. With so much of my efforts focused lately on heavy, dramatic and emotional pieces, its a great release to break off and work on something born purely of instinct.
