What a three days!
Last Friday evening I accepted transfer of ownership to me of A-1 Writing Academy, which has enjoyed two years of success here on WDC.

Monday morning I took the two smallest grandkids to the library, close to us, and returned to find the StepGrandmother battling a range top fire (electrical) and trying to put out a flaming Easter sheet cake, which she'd knocked onto the floor. I applied my tried and true methods:

pulling out the fuses, throwing all the coffee creamer powder and most of the baby powder shaker on the flames, which was effective, then running down the street like a banshee hollering at the oncoming trash truck to call 911.

What a crazy morning. Then we didn't have any power till late this afternoon, about 55 hours without, no heat, no PC!! no light to read by. Everybody but me went to family friends about 20 minutes away, not diehard stalwart pioneer me. I stayed in my separate quarters and read until dark each night, then went to bed and froze lol.

there must be a quote handy for this!
