My blog of fun, love, frustrations and me. |
the dinner party. Hubby's indoor soccer team came to a friends house for dinner last night, and will be invading my territory in two short weeks. This apparently is going to be a revolving thing. Surprisingly, he actually found some nice American people to hang with. It's a miracle. If you had any idea of the types of people that have shown up here over the last 16+ years, you'd understand. It's very rare that I meet a couple and actually like them both. It's usually one or the other, which can be a real pain for get togethers. To have genuine, normal people to sit and chat with, was nice.........except...........they talk about soccer. That's the only fault I can give them. Now that chat has been completely revamped, with the police being called, and the Story Master/Mistress/and Mods recording every word typed, I wondered how this will affect conversations. Well, I can say that it's pretty tame now. And tame is just boring. I get that some unsavory characters were hanging around, influencing the younger minds on this site, and something had to be done. But, shit, I like to be in a room of adults and vent about everything under the sun. I feel others being cautious, so I am cautious. And it's not just chat that they now monitor, it's the IM's too. Is it time to give out my yahoo email address, and cell phone number so my friends can now speak freely about what's on their mind? I believe so. So here is my cell number, don't lose it, it's an important number to have, especially since I have unlimited texting. 1-555-THISSUX! ON THERESA'S IPOD I've included the lyrics and the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9L9fRzrjcI Count on Me by Default I know that life ain't always good to you. I've seen exactly what it's put you through Thrown you around and turned you upside down and so you You got to thinking there was no way out You started sinking and it pulled you down It may be tough you've to get back up Because you know that life ain't over yet I'm here for you so don't forget You can count on me Cause' I will carry you till you carry on Anytime you need someone Somebody strong to lean on Well you can count on me To hold you till the healing is done And every time you fall apart Well you can hide here in my arms And you can count on me To hold you till that feeling is gone I wonder why nobody's waiting on you I'd like to be the one to pull you through your darkest times I'd love to be the light that finds you I see a silver lining on your cloud I'll pick you up whenever you fall down Just take my hand and I will help you stand Because you know that life ain't over yet I'm here for you so don't forget You can count on me Cause' I will carry you till you carry on Anytime you need someone Somebody strong to lean on Well you can count on me to hold you till the healing is done And every time you fall apart you can hide here in my arms And you can count on me to hold you till that feeling is Gone so you can live today Seems so long to yesterday Keep on counting on me to carry you till you carry on Carry on You know that life ain't over yet I'm here for you so don't forget You can count on me cause I will carry you till you carry on Anytime you need someone Somebody strong to lean on Well you can count on me to hold you till that healing is done And every time you fall apart You can hide here in my arms And you can count on me to hold you till that feeling is gone Remember life ain't over yet I'm here for you so don't forget That you can count on me to hold you till that feeling is gone Remember life ain't over yet I'm here for you so don't forget That you can count on me to hold you till that feeling is gone Well, I am off, to write, read, review, get even more hooked on that damn You Tube site. Yesterday I was watching The Monkees, Shaun Cassidy videos, The Partridge Family......ahh take me back to my childhood. The Monkees were the best though. I could picture myself seeing the clock at the pool, and rushing through the field of dandelions home to sit in my wet swimsuit at 4:30, having a laugh, hear a song, and then back to the pool before closing time.
