Hello.  Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there!

Yesterday was another adventurous day with my two grandsons -- Tyler, 6; Cody, 4.  I picked them up a little after nine.  We first went to Target and grabbed some art supplies so they could work on something for Mother's Day.  Since Tyler told me he got five smiley faces in school last week and he hadn't gotten a present yet, we also picked up a new toy for each of them.

Tyler chose an e-pet -- a little border collie he named "Cool-Puppy."  We went online and registered his pet so he could play with the pet, give it a bath, buy things for its bedroom -- a computer, etc.  Then his pet traveled around to different places -- a flea market where it contracted fleas and Tyler zapped them with flea spray.

Cody picked a gun set, complete with a log and plastic cans you assemble and shoot off the log.  He broke out laughing everytime he shot one off the log, as it sprang up into the air.  He was a smiling tough guy all day.

We picked up bacon, egg and cheese bagels for breakfast from Dunkin' Donuts.  They love those things -- not too spicey.

They decorated a couple of jars for their mommy; and Tyler made her a red paper crown with plastic diamonds of every color and shape.  We fastened ribbon to each side with the stapler so she could tie it on.

As I left, Clarissa was wearing her paper crown and fixing dinner.

I came home and started dinner.  Tired, I turned off the oven and climbed into bed for a short nap.  I woke up six hours later -- a little after nine.  I was up for a few minutes when I remembered my dinner and reheated it.

Here I am at the computer, Sunday morning at 11:03am.  I plan to make a few Mother's Day calls and then maybe do a little reading.

The cable people are supposed to come by sometime today to fix my phone.  Once that is done, maybe I'll take a bike ride or a nice long walk... but it is sunny, warm and muggy in St. Petersburg today; since I don't like to sweat like a pig, I may stay inside and wait until the sun starts falling to wander outside.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day and a pleasant work week!
