Well, my favorite day of the year is finally here and it's been grand.

I spent the morning and early afternoon with my daughter, her husband and my grandsons.  We went to Ft. Desoto, had a barbeque and frolicked in the water with the little minnow-like fish and seaweed.  My daughter, Clarissa, still can't get her stomach wet from her recent surgery so she sat on the sideline and watched us play in the water.  She has to work a 3-3 shift tonight so it's just as well she was able to take it easy.  I was so wiped when I got home I laid down and napped for two hours.

I'm getting ready to have dinner at the Texas Cattle Company with Jorge -- our favorite thing to do on birthdays, especially when one dinner is free!!

It's official -- I'm a half century old, fifty, my year of jubilee, and I am enjoying it to the max.
