Drop by drop the snow pack dies, watering the arid lands below.

Sometimes my mind wanders
Jalál (Glory), 11 Asma (Names), 165 B.E. – Saturday, August 30, 2008 about 9:41 AM Pacific Time

Sometimes my mind wanders
into the blue firmament
past gray-white clouds
to find
my muse sitting in the center of a field
of rain drops crying
scarlet tears
because she can't remember
how to find her way home.

My muse
is like me in this respect
she is directionally challenged
and has attack of C.R.S.,
which is probably why
I write poems like this
when I fully intended to write something else;
something that reflected the title
a little closer then this poem.
