A Day to Remember

My thoughts go out to all those affected by the tragedy of September 11th 2001 and I hope the world never has to suffer the likes of that day again.

My personal thoughts go out to my dearest Uncle Joe who would have celebrated a birthday today and my grandson who should have been born on this day too, but in actual fact has been around for five weeks already. God bless his tiny cotton socks; I'm glad he's a Leo like his Nanna and not another September burpday. We have an abundance of those already.

Maybe a few of my regular readers will remember this time last year when I confessed in my blog I'd done something I'd never done before. No one ever actually guessed what it was and I'm still not going to to tell you.

But today I did it again and enjoyed every minute. Actually I've done it two other times since I last mentioned it in here and one time on foreign soil. I break no laws, do no evil or harbour sordid secrets but hope to repeat the experience whenever possible.

I'm still not telling you but you can offer up your suggestions if you wish. I have this deep desire to take some secrets to my grave (urn) and providing I can keep my big mouth shut I'll hopefully succeed.

Sometimes I believe everything happens for a reason even if we never figure out why. I have a warm fuzzy feeling tonight but maybe that's just an over indulgence of vino. God bless grapes and all who crush them. I think sharing bottles of wine is becoming my favourite occupation, especially in excellent company. But for tonight my lips are now sealed.

Goodnight my friends. Never reject the opportunity to enjoy the unexpected. I won't.
