Sunday Morning in Early Spring
Jamál (Beauty), 2 Bahá (Splendor), 166 BE – Sunday, March 22, 2009 about 8:31 AM Pacific Time

Charcoal and gray clouds cover the sky. The wind is blowing and the limbs of the stone pine trees in my front yard are waving. Tiny yellow blossoms cover the black asphalt of the avenue in front of my house. At random intervals, the sun peeks through the clouds casting shadows on the roof of the garage. The shadows dancing on the roof of my garage are those of the pine trees.

This morning, I broke one of my coffee cups, so now I have only three cups in that set. If I combine those three cups with the five cups in the other set, I have a set of eight mismatched coffee cups, which is enough for a dinner party. The problem with a dinner party is the seating. My dining table will hold only six people; however, I do have a small black breakfast table that will hold four. This gives me enough table space for ten people, but unless I find two more mismatched coffee cups I can only have a party for eight.

I can have a themed dinner party for eight people, my mother, six friends, and myself. It could be a mismatched dinner party and I could have everyone come dressed in mismatched cloths. I could have a mismatched dinner party for my poet friends and have them all come dressed in mismatch clothing.

I've never hosted a dinner party of any type, so these thoughts must be coming from either March Madness or Spring Fever. I'm not sure that I'm up to planning a dinner party right now. Perhaps later in the year after I complete the spring cleaning.
