Grow up already!
My response to "Grow up already! by spidey for Friday, September 18, 2009 leading entry for "Follow the Leader.

Sometimes I wander how an adult acts? There are, of course, certain attributes which adults have that non-adults don't. Adults are responsible, some more responsible the others. I don't think you can tell by the way a person dresses whether they are an adult or not. Let's face it some adults look better in "teen age cloths" then teenagers, but I think that's because an adult knows more about how to wear cloths (they've had more experience).

Whether or not one "looks" grown up or like an adult (however that is) has more to do with genetics then anything else. Some people naturally look younger then others. Smoking and drinking alcohol excessively affects the way a person looks physically. You just can't tell by a person's physically features precisely how old or young the person you're dealing with.

Some teenagers have more experience at being responsible then adults. So age has very little to do with whether a person acts like an adult. Besides acting responsible in most situations how do you tell an adult from a non-adult. Let's face not every adult acts like an adult in all situations.

I don't see what age has to do with acting like an adult or grown up. I remember a story about a woman who when people ask her age, she told them. When the didn't believe how old she was, she simply asked them how old they thought she was and then responded appropriately. That is she was either insulted or said thank you.
