My blog--I pull a card--if it doesn't speak to me...perhaps it is for you?

boxing day
Enjoying the hush and lull of the after Christmas rush. Had a wonderful day yesterday with the grandkids, my son, the ex-daughter-in-law, the whole famn damily.

I don't usually like getting appliances for Xmas---but Dave bought me a Mr. Coffee expresso maker. So for now I can retire my old stovetop one--which is quite serviceable--but not so glitzy.

David and I were not going to exchange gifts for each other at all----but----fortunately I had bought him a Miles Davis t-shirt----and thanks to the Internet----yesterday morning printed off an Amazon gift certificate so he can buy music to his heart's content.

I have to work 11pm to 7 am tonight at my new job. Apparently, there were no other nurses left to work---I haven't worked this shift in ages and am usually in bed by 9:00 pm-----going to tank up on expresso and Red Bull. The new expresso machine will be put to good use.

Wishing all a joyous New Year!
