Aging
I'm not getting old. I don't know why other people are.

I find out that someone is my age or a year or two younger, and I always feel shocked. How come they look so old for such a young age? I certainly don't look that bad, thank goodness. People my age just look and act younger than those folks.

And I don't want to hang out all the time with old people. For heaven's sakes, I get tired of hearing about grandchildren. I'm not bad about my great-niece. After all she's extraordinary. She's smart. She's beautiful. She really does deserve my admiration. But I try to be nice to the others and let them brag about their little, slow, average grandbabies.

And old people have illnesses and problems. You know, not being able to sleep all through the night, arthritis, knee replacements, indigestion, bunions, and other problems. My illnesses are not old people's problems: my maladies are of grave concern to one still so young.

Let's be realistic. No matter how young or old you look, women my age are not interested in men my age! Very few men age as well as Paul Newman. We don't want college students, but maybe we got stuck in that 30-45 group. Men that age want much younger women, but we still give them the eye any way. Frankly, I can't see why a young women would want an old man, even if he's rich.

In my own mind, I'm still young and vibrant and have untapped resources! I don't know why young people would pass up the opportunity to be with someone so vivacious just because my skin tone is a little dull.

Oh, my. Time for my meds. And my neck is aching. We'll talk about my youthfulness tomorrow.
