The birds are still singing
Istiqlál (Independence), 14 Núr (Light), 167 BE – Friday, June 18, 2010 about 12:47 PM Pacific Time

If singing birds are good omens, then the situation in my life is looking up. The birds have been singing almost all year. I know it is only June, but 2010 is half over and the birds are still singing. They began singing in March, just before the start of spring, and they are still singing.

It sounds as if there are more birds now then when they began. I don't remember hearing them singing so much last year. The days are growing longer and hotter; the birds are still singing. The temperature in Las Vegas broke 100 degrees last week and the continued to sing.

The wind blew 40 miles per hour earlier this week and the birds continued to sing. Nothing prevents the birds from singing. One bird sings at night, he begins about sunset and sings almost all night. At least, I think he sings all night, I know he is still singing when I go to sleep about midnight.
