Another plate full of the meat and vegetables of my life.

Life certainly doesn't let up or slow down any once you turn sixty. In the aftermath of my two celebrations I've paid a visit to my old boss, sorted out my Dad, been supermarket shopping, spent a weekend in London with a friend and am now in the process of packing to go to my sister's for a few days tomorrow. In between I've been trying to clear up, sort photos and videos and make friends with my new iPad. I suspect I've failed on all counts. Que Sera.

We went to see 'Love Never Dies,' on stage in London. It was enjoyable, but nowhere near as good as Phantom. I think sequels rarely live up to the originals. The travelling was tiring and the early starts not compatible with my owl habits, so I feel like a washed out rag and could sleep for a fortnight if it wasn't for all the activity. Oh, what a social butterfly I am. *Rolleyes* Still, it beats housework any day, but I do plan on catching up with some circa 2015.

Hubby very kindly bought me the iPad as a combined gift for my burpday and our pearl wedding anniversary later this month. You get a shorter sentence for murder these days, but I do appreciate the gesture honestly. It's just that I still haven't read the manuals or mastered my digital camera, mobile phone, netbook, external hard drive or iPod. *Blush* There never seems to be time for all my good intentions. iTunes plays up on my computers so getting started is a problem in itself, but I must admit it's a fascinating piece of technology. I plan on being able to understand it and use it successfully circa 2015, but haven't decided yet whether to do the housework before or after.

So, I leave you with the last Picasa link to Dylan's second burpday and my evening party. Not as many photos as I'd have liked, but I was so busy I couldn't even locate my camera for much of the time. Now I'm off to make cocktails for our friends visiting this evening, then look forward to simple activities like shopping, swimming, dining, drinking and chatting with my sis over the next few days. In theory at least. When was anything in my life ever simple?
