Drawer
Sturdy, light wood wavering in color that meets at each corner in a perfect match. Entirely simple, only complex in the idea of it all. Years of scrapings of pens and markers graze the surface, and still my own utensils fill the space. In constant use, but rarely thought of, my friend, that box beneath consciousness.
