Upside down
Jamál (Beauty), 2 Jalál (Glory), 168 BE – Sunday, April 10, 2011 about 5:49 PM Pacific Time

I am dreaming of a smaller place, a little apartment or house with a small yard or now yard. A place I can easily keep up without help. However, that is just a dream, an illusion that I have to put out of my mind. We owe more on the house then it is worth, we are upside down. We can make the house payment, which I have to be thankful for because there are many people in Las Vegas having trouble in that.

This house is just too big for me to handle by myself. Mom no longer has the desire to help, she says she wants to do housework, she plans the housework she is going to do tomorrow, but that is as far as it gets. It is the Alzheimer’s disease, which is Mom biggest issue. Thank God, she does not realize the problem.

I think Mom would be better off in an assisted living apartment, but that is out of the question. The least expensive place we can find cost $2,000.00 a month, which is more then is available at this time. We can make the house payment and scrape by on the other bills. Selling the house is out because it would not bring enough to find a decent place for Mom. So we are stuck upside down.
