My Mountain Experiences

My mountain experiences usually occur when I accomplish something that is difficult appears impossible, or I follow my intuition. I enjoy holidays, but that is not when my mountain experiences occur. My mountain experiences occur when I push myself beyond, what I perceive, as my limits.

My mountain experiences occur during prayer or meditation. The times I pause to inhale the fragrance of my soul. My mountain experiences occur when I let go of preconceived ideas of failure and success. My mountain experiences occur during the times I let go of the concept that I am in control of a situation.

My mountain experiences occur when I look out my kitchen window and see the neighbor’s cat sitting in my backyard and watching the birds in the oleander trees. My mountain experiences occur when I accept my weakness and strengths and then attempt to work with them rather then against them.

The older I get the more I realize that mountain experiences occur when I least expect them. They come when I need them. They occur when I am down and need a lift.
