Creation Saturday: Mind Reading
Saturday, August 18, 2012 ~ Day 19 of the 30-Day Blogging Challenge prompt is Mind Reading

*Smile*

I wouldn’t like the read the minds of other drivers!
They scar me enough,
without knowing what they think
when they drive;
I know they’re not thinking about the traffic,
the road conditions,
other drivers,
or pedestrians
when they drive.

Lora sit cross-legged on the bed watching her aunt put on make-up.

“Aunt Sarah,” Lora sighted, “why is it called mind reading?”

“Uh,” Sarah Norris could not get used to her niece’s unexpected odd questions. “What are you talking about, Lora?”

“Well,” she frowned, “Rodger says his mother can read his mind. That was why he didn’t want me to tell him what we got her for her birthday. I mean when I think, I don’t see words running or flowing across my brain. I hear my thoughts thinking and sometimes I see pictures, but I don’t see words; I mean not like I do on my Kindle. Does Mrs. Harris see words when she reads Rodger’s mind?”

“I don’t know, Lora, why,” Sarah smiled wickedly, “don’t you ask Mrs. Harris tonight. I’m sure she would be happy to answer your question.”

“OK!” Lora jumped off the bed and ran out of the room.
