HYPOCRISY
HYPOCRISY
[Hypocrisy of a high- brow champion of human rights].

We defend the human rights,
But let none challenge our rights.
Our wishes are but our rights,
Let others forget their rights.

Though for us, our policy
Is to have democracy,
Why care if elsewhere it fails
And autocracy prevails?

We defend environment,
As a holy sacrament.
But, to be guzzler of oil,
Is our right, let none it spoil.

We defend the equal rights,
Of Hispanics, blacks and whites.
But only the former two
Are to be jailed, it is true.

We must kill and must have fun.
Why ban porn and why ban gun?
No, we need not wield the axe
On these rich sources of tax.

We are the world’s nation great.
That is why we face much hate.
What if we drop a few bombs
And convert dwellings to tombs?

People of the world, beware:
Get out of your master’s glare.
Lord, Master, we are for you;
Forget, and you will this rue.
