Outside My Comfort Zone

I am trying to incorporate new things into my writing, and I managed to do just that tonight. I have never attempted poetry. As a matter of fact, I have always envied those who could write a meaningful poem. I love reading poems; I just can't write them. Tonight, I really wandered outside of my comfort zone.

I thought "Invalid Item"  seemed very interesting. And some type of prompt and direction on style was just what I needed to force myself to write. The poem I chose to try is called a diatelle, and it was tough. It really forced me to think and to pay close attention to what I was doing. It also made me respect the poets I know even more.

Anyway, I came up with
