Another plate full of the meat and vegetables of my life. |
Another long absence from blogging, but in my defence there's been little to write about and yet more anxiety in the family. My sister came over for a three day visit which included meeting my lovely great nephew Reuben for the first time. He's a real sweety and was no trouble whatsoever while we were at their family home. The weather has been pretty horrendous with very low temperatures, more snow and now a lot of rain instead. Not very conducive to going out, blogging or lifting the mood. Sadly, my mother-in-law was admitted to hospital last Sunday. (Mother's Day here) She's 98, so her health is obviously declining. The hospital sent for hubby on Thursday morning as things looked imminent, but she rallied round a bit and we're now just playing the waiting game again. Hubby's brother will return from New Zealand on Monday, but we have no idea what the situation will be by then. Hubby could certainly do with some respite however after his own ordeal which he still isn't fully recovered from. My injured leg is still causing concern too. Apart from a couple of outings with friends I've done very little and feel lethargic and uninspired. Anxiety plays havoc with our emotions as I well know from past experiences. How I'd love some of those ordinary days I spoke of in the last entry. |
