NaPoWriMo--Day 16

Scented

At work I wear a dollar store knockoff
of "White Diamonds",
all warm and sudsy
like dish soap, nursey
in a Betty White way.

For the grandkids
I spritz "Tea Rose"
all sweetness and flowers
vintage handkerchiefs
and old letters.
A scent to remember, forever.

My husband asks me to wear
Malle's "Carnal Flower",
all smooth corners and soft embraces,
a perfect polished courtesan.

For me, it is "Nuit de Noel",
contentment and yet, anticipation
a mélange that smells of joy.
