Thunderstorms and All Hail the Nerds
The May 16, 2013 prompt for "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS is
Thunderstorms

Thunderstorms;
Supercells;
Tornadoes;
Tornado Alley;
Hiding in root cellars
Or tubs
To survive;
We bury the dead
And then rebuild after the disaster;
We write about our experiences
And our grief.

Food for thought about thunderstorms and creativity: "I get my best ideas in a thunderstorm. I have the power and majesty of nature on my side." - Ralph Steadman

The May 16, 2013 prompt for "Blogging Circle of Friends Prompt Forum is
Star Trek or Star Wars?

I like both Star Trek and Star Wars, all thought, I more of a Star Trek fan then a Star Wars fan. I have my favorite characters in each series. My favorite characters (up to May 16, 2013) in the Star Trek series are Data, Jadzia Dax, Jean-Luc Picard, Q, Worf, Benjamin Lafayette Sisko, Harry Mudd, etc. My favorite Star Wars characters (up to May 16, 2013) are C-3PO, Lando Calrissian, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Han Solso, and a few others. As you can see, I have more favorite Star Trek characters then Star Wars characters so that makes me a Trekkie. I am now getting back to watching more science fiction and Star Trek on the syfy channel, so I will probably find more favorite Star Trek characters in the future. Also, I have written Star Trek poems and stories, but nothing with the Star Wars theme.

All hail the nerds
because well will colonize the galaxy
and explore the universe.

Science Fiction Thought of the Day: “I have never listened to anyone who criticized my taste in space travel, sideshows or gorillas. When this occurs, I pack up my dinosaurs and leave the room.” - Ray Bradbury, Zen in the Art of Writing
