the blue velvet scarf


the wind's wet teeth tore the scarf from your throat
and flung it in a flicking arc of velvet, dull and blue,
ice blue veined with navy, sumptuous and supple,
catching on branches in a question mark
and immediately darkened with snow

with a very cheap webcam
