The Call
August 1, 2013

I continue to meditate on the goings on of my car accident yesterday. I am seeing it as a metaphor for life. Accidents happen. It is how I respond that determines whether it continues to haunt me or becomes a learning tool for others and myself. A short while ago my phone went off indicating I had an appointment with my counselor in ten minutes. I got myself ready to go entering my wife care and called letting the Center know I was to be late. I was told there was no appointment. I checked my phone and sure enough there was not. My wife was there when I got the alert. I checked the alert and there was no message from Phil. As I reflect back I consider that it was a Call from God. I needed to take care of myself. I was suffering enough.
