This novel is a drama but will appeal to a number of audiences. Those with a religious background, be it strong or not they will want to know what is going to happen. The age group will be the more mature reader. my guess it will be the 40 year olds an up.
There is also the mystery aspect and this may appeal to someone with a higher intelligence who likes to think outside the box. Not your usual mystery. Not paranormal but there is a mystical aspect to this story. Its about choices and introspection. Less about the painting and more about the affect it has on its viewers.
