Being Literate
December 15th, 2013

I see the darkness that begins to engulf the day and am grateful for the gift of literacy. When I first look at the word I see the word light. As I look at the all the lighting displays in multicolored ecstacy, I glory in the ability to own for myself that light within myself. I have been enjoying all the great stories and poems that I have been reading on the Writing.com.. Over and beyond that I am dipping into the cornacopia of multiple genres. My palatte is enhanced to ingest and digest all manner of flavors and aromas.

Christmas is a day to celebrate God's gift of light in the darkness of a time when people knew what it meant to be oppressed and outcast. I contend that the impetus to reverse illiteracy was also part of the plan. The story of salvation became so good that you did not want to have anyone miss out on the truth. So as much as I want to dwell of the pageantry of the holiday, I am glad that I can read about it and share my own thoughts so they can be read. God bless and Merry Christmas!!!
