Second Helpings

Bah ...

I would write a blog entry if I could disentangle myself from the piles of toys, wrapping paper, decorations, presents, baubles, tinsel, cards, bows, ribbons, gift tags, lights, sacks, crackers, candles and a partridge in a pear tree cluttering up the whole house.

There's nothing I'd rather be doing than wrapping, sticking, decorating, writing cards and tripping over Ninja Turtles and Moshi Monsters. Oh, I do so love Humbug.

But, I have to remind myself this time last year my husband was lying in intensive care and we had no idea what the outcome would be, so even a grinch like me must be thankful and touch wood that this year we hopefully only have three days of wall to wall family and grand monsters to cope with.

Having said that if he keeps getting under my feet and watching sport on TV while I do all the work, he could end up in hospital for totally different reasons. I wonder what Humbug is like in prison?
