I will share the many thoughts that invade my introspective soul.

As the month winds down I am more aware of the burden of taxes. We have been receiving all manner of notices saying we owe money that we can not even find justfication for. Thousands and thousands of dollars are being charged against our account. In the time of Jesus this was more the exception than the rule. Joseph goes to Bethlehem to get put on a census so that he could be taxed. In a sense it was the beginning of an avalanche of taxation that took place for any reason Rome could think of. We hope that we will get our malaise settled. It is more than a little unsettling. When a person feels burdened down financially it makes it harder to function in other parts of one's life. Peace and good will come only from God. The birth of Jesus signals an end to being taxed by men so that one can eternally know the grace of God. What could be better.
