Saturday Poems
A Joyful, Sorrowful, and Chilly Saturday Morning

On this joyful Saturday morning
I place my trust in God,
I know that the pink clouds of dawn
are the start of a glorious day.

On this sorrowful Saturday morning
I place my trust in God,
I am entering a new stage of life
I know that the sorrow I feel
is caused by leaving
the past behind.

On this chilly Saturday morning
I place my trust in God.
because no matter what the weather
I know that the Divine Essence
is there for me to lean on.

Creative Saturday: A Long Weary Morning

A long weary morning,
with lost to do,
but no energy to do it.

Waiting for a prescription,
I need,
that my doctor didn't call in;
perhaps that's why
I'm so tired.

A long weary morning,
with clouds
decorating the partly sunny sky,
but I'm chilly,

I want to curl up under a blanket
and I don't to do that;
I need the prescription
not the blankets.
