Day 22 - Sunset

As another day in Africa comes to an end,
I marvel at the sunset and the beauties of nature.
Looking around me, I spy a giraffe,
lean and graceful with its neck to the changing sky.

What is it thinking?
Is it lonely for its mate
or content in its solitude?
Wishing that time didn't pass so quickly
or thinking today has gone on forever?

Resigned that I'll never have my answers,
I stop thinking and continue enjoying
the yellow-orange glow
of the serene sunset.
