Is it Safe to be honest
Prompt: "Take note, take note O world. To be direct and honest is not safe." Is this quote true or not? Why?
I know people who do go through life being as visible as possible with their personal “truths” and they, bless their hearts, feel empowered by using their “authentic voices” I love it when people are REAL not phony.

“To be direct and honest is not safe.”
I have to say there are times in my life experiences when that was ABSOLUTELY true.

As a child living with parents who believed children should be seen and not heard. I grew up dodging and ducking every time I spoke. Awe lie, Okay “MOST” of the time.
I have since learned to respect my audiences. For example, when I willing went to a town hall meeting to protest yet another dam on another beautiful river, I knew I would be booed which I was. But, I continued my speech anyway. I had been told not to show up and that made me want to go even more, I did have an escape route plan. Which I used. (Back door, fast car)

In a perfect world we are free to be real. But, as yet we must pick and choose our words to dance un disturbed. There really are many rotten tomatoes in our patch here on earth and angry mobs to throw them,. My advice to you is follow your guts, when speaking your truth...like the song said..".You gotta know when to hold em know when to fold them know when to walk away know when to RUN"
