Prompt: Write about a book that you recently read that stayed with you after you closed the last page.

The Light Between Oceans by M. L. Stedman
I read it several months ago and find myself wondering about the story. It is a debut novel for this author which is why I downloaded it to my kindle library in the first place. I read good reviews about it and I have to agree.
Yet, I was judgmental as I read along. I heard myself whispering, 'predictable' or 'that would never happen' but I kept with it. I found myself reading cover to cover in one setting and came away feeling satisfied.

I just noticed that it is # 11 on the New York Times' Bestsellers list for week of May 11, 2014.
