BLOG CITY Prompt: If all tablets and smart phones ceased working, how much impact would this have on your daily life and routines. I have a Nexus-7 Google tablet, which I love. It is my library. I have hundreds of books archived. Plus I have Kindle and all that access. I don't have games, just document management and creation. My art portfolio is is ready to show and there are many hundreds of photos. THIS WOULD BE A TERRIBLE LOSS. However, I have a Acer One net-book that has duplicates of everything plus all my WDC work. I do all my writing on the Acer. And all of that is on a tiny SSD card and duplicated on a USB stick. I am prepared for everything except total electronic failure. We depend so much on electronic media and devices. But living in Belize, I do not have television and only use wireless Internet, which has low bandwidth. Rarely can see U-Tube or any video news. Everything is slow loading. They call it a relaxed life-style. I gave up carrying all that paper. Airline weight limits do not allow it, plus dragging those cases around is not fun. Of course, if all else fails, paper and pencils are a wonderful solution. You know, back to ancient times! Peace...>>>iggy |
