The Wolf's Vigil


There are footprints in the snow
Stink of man perfumes the air
They hunt the prey of winter
Without a thought or care

The wind and snow are howling
Telling them they don't belong
It strikes fear in all mankind
I join it's deathly song

This zephyr repels them
Warns them to go back
Nature's gift to wildlife
Will stay their attack

I am my family's guardian
And face this storm alone
Marked with angry battle scars
I will protect my home
