It Rained Yesterday
It rained yesterday,
an on and off rain all day
washed the cars
parked across the street
and in the alley.

It rained yesterday,
a gentle rain
that didn't flood
the streets
in my neighborhood.

It rained yesterday,
it cleaned the air
for a little while
and left clouds
covering the Las Vegas sky.
