cooking and writing

A signature owl

I bought a silicon donut pan from Amazon. Someone wanted to know if you could use it to bake bagels. I never baked bagels so today I'm going to try baking bagels. Baking bread is easier than when I was raising children. I have a bread machine to do the kneading.

I wrote 500 words on "Willow" yesterday and am going to try to write more today. It is a story that has all kinds of subplots but needs some consistent movement from beginning to end. Reading a good mystery is one thing; writing one is totally something else.

Happy June--write on!
