If I could hear with my nose
and smell with my ears
my eyes would recite odes
to the memories of my childhood.

Echoes reverberate
through the corridors of time
of thunder rolling across
the Oklahoma sky.

The crackle of lightning,
the train-like roar of a tornado,
and the whistle of wind blown raindrops
striking the living room windows
of my Grandparents' house.
