The Early Years Give 100 blogs
During the forty's and fifties years when I as a child the 5TH of November was a special day for me, not that I was ever excited about the history of the date this event, The attempt to blow the British Parliament by Guy Fox. No it was the bon fire and the gathering of trees and paper and anything else there was to burn, and the speciality was the making of the GUY. My brother and I finished our Guy and put it into Go cart made from the wheels of an old pram and wood which we would parade up and down the street with a note across the chest of the GUY written in big writing.

'A PENNY FO THE GUY. The money we collected went to buy fireworks for the bon fire.
