After the Storm

The winds die down
The hail slows its pelting cadence
The thunder and lightning fade
The storm clouds are now unladen

Repeat the day with a stormy son
Screeching obscenities and accusations
Thinking mere words will
Bring about some form of negotiations

As with the storm of wind and hail
Words unfurled and deeply stinging
Leave a path of
Destruction wide and deeply cutting

Unlike the storm of wind and hail
Words are forever etched
Brought back from the internet
To Remind and never forget
