The Talk Tuesday prompt for "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS" What do you do to make yourself happy, while knowing it irritates others? I don't deliberately do stuff to piss people off because it's unnecessary and a waste of time. I do things that make me happy which probably pisses people off because I've found that numerous human beings get pissed off over nothing. I've come to the conclusion that some people enjoy getting pissed off at other humans, animals, and the universe in general because being pissed off makes them happy. If someone gets pissed off that I'm doing something that makes me happy then that's fine with me because one of my goals as a human being is to help other people enjoy life, so if a person receives happiness from being pissed off then that makes that person's life less stressful. I've found that my religious views, my political views, and my sense of humor tends to piss certain groups of people off. First, I don't have any intention of changing my chosen religion or spiritual path. Second, my political views are always evolving so sometimes they might agree a small portion of the grass root population and sometimes they won't. I'm fairly sure my political views don't agree with any politician holding or running for a local, state, or national office, which means I have to chose either the lesser of two evils when I vote or not vote at all. Since I intend to vote in every election until the day I die, I just have to look closely at politicians stated views or their actions. Third, there isn't a damn thing I can do about my sense of humor because it innate and ever evolving. In other words my sense of humor gets weirder with each birthday. Practicing my religion makes me happy, if people find this offensive that isn't my problem. If it makes them happy to pray for the salvation of my soul then they can go right ahead and pray for me because I won't be offended. |
