THREE STATES OF EXISTENCE

The physically embodied man has to be reborn and die again and again to suffer physical karma

through his or her human body but after the attainment of bodily freedom from the physical

realm via the attainment of Nirvikalpha Samadhi, that person therefore becomes a Siddha and

is permanently released from being reborn as a physical being. However, the attainment of

Nirvikalpha Samadhi (physical Moksha) alone doesn't secure a Jiva (soul) from total non birth.

The Jiva who has attained bodily release will then be reborn as an Astral being in the upper

Astral world where the glorious angels and demigods sail, thereafter only to be an astral being

(die and reborn as an Astral) and never to come back to earth unless the soul willingly

chooses so. But even for the Astral being, despite having relinquished physical karma,

the karma is still stored in the astral and causal body.

So the Astral being has to put effort in the Astral world to roast the astral seeds.

An astral soul which has attained Nirvikalpha Samadhi becomes a Siddha who is greater than an

angel or demigod, a Deva who resides in the upper heavens. This is because demigods and angels

were previously humans who had attained birth in astral heavens after obtaining unusually great amount

of merit in the physical realm. However, upon their death in the astral realm, they will still have to be reborn

as a human being for they cannot obtain permanent residence in the astral realm till Nirvikalpha Samadhi

is obtained.

This is why the Devas (angels) bowed down and prayed before the presence of Sri Lahiri Mahasaya.

As for the astral being who has now been liberated from earth- it will now become a permanent astral

being who will have to be reborn and die as an astral until all karmas stored within the astral body are

completely burned. And it is in this realm that Swami Sri Yukteswarji has taken astral birth and residence,

located in a planet called Hiranyaloka to guide and lead the astral beings to evolve as they prepare to move

forward to the causal realm.

However, the seeds of karmas of an individual Jiva are so powerful that even after having been destroyed

in first two bodies- physical and astral, it will still remain the causal body which is the ideational and closest

body to the pure essence of spirit. The astral being who has now attained Moksha (release) from both the

physical and astral worlds after having permanently roasted all seeds of karma within both the physical and

astral body will now be reborn in the causal world as a causal being.

And in the causal world, the causal being will further be engaged in very deep efforts to destroy and erase

the deepest and causal seeds of karma. At the very final end: When all karmas have been totally roasted,

the causal being will now stand face to face with the Supreme Spirit and thereafter attain complete merger

and be completely free from rebirth in all three states of existence. It is at this point that a soul can truly say :

Aham Brahmasmi! I am Brahman (God).

Even as a salt doll who was enclosed in three successive jars (one within the other) had all three jars removed

one by one and became one and merged the sea.
