JAN 27--Television
Written for "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS with prompt: On this day in 1926 a Scottish inventor named John Baird demonstrated a pictorial transmission machine called the television. Do you remember seeing your first television...the one your parents had when you were a kid? What were some of your favorite shows? Do you still watch any of the old programs you enjoyed as a teenager?

I don't recall seeing my first TV. I'm sure we had one ever since I was born. But I do recall my mom and dad had a small black and white TV/clock/alarm in their room. It had like a 5 inch screen. I thought it was cool that it could do so much, but I didn't like that it was only black and white.

I can't remember what I watched specifically as a teen. I remember watching "Gilligan's Island" and "Hogan's Heroes" but I think I was younger. I don't currently have cable. I watch Hulu and Amazon Prime. I don't watch any of the shows I did as a kid, but if I see a rerun while flipping channels at a friend's house, I'll probably stop. *Smile*
