The 30 DBC challenge prompt for Tuesday February 14 is "Tell us a story! Not including your WDC handle or offsite accounts elsewhere, have you ever had to (or tried to) use a fake name before? Have you ever given someone a false phone number or address, maybe to get out of an awkward situation? Has it ever come back to haunt you? "

Oh yes I've been guilty of that one. The one time that sticks out the most to me was when i was working for a company doing telemarketing. Unlike most telemarketers I didn't call people at home and bother them or even call people who had contributed before. I called businesses to sell advertising space. My boss insisted that i use the alias of Bill Foley and i did so. However I called the one person I knew would see right through my alias: a physical therapist whom I had know since childhood. When I followed my bosses orders and gave him my alias he called me on it immediately. he knew the voice and it did not belong to Bill anything! So I lost the sale. After that my boss let me use my real name.
