Ode to My Nose
These yellow flurries in the sky
attack the nose and water eyes.
How sad to think that lovely flow'rs
do cause that sneezing lasts for hours.

O, facial spigot flowing free
of what may comfort bring to thee?
I lift the tissue to abate
the maelstrom that you've been of late.

Sometimes I think the only hope
is horizontal sheets that cope.
The rest I find upon my bed
brings hours relief to throbbing head.

The springtime fancies of the year
sneeze pollen o'er my nose and ear
That I may give it back again
infecting all the world of men.

Today, my nose doth dance a tune.
I pray it stops and that right soon
That fam'ly visit I may share
without a sneeze, without a care.
