Moon Creek Bed Tragedy

Possum dances through the trees,
Night mirage sleeping bees
Tear down the forest, howling wind
Trample my soul and heart again

Sleeping bear can't hear the sounds,
Council meeting in the town
Price point words, deadlines set
Wetlands give way to backyard pets

Moon Creek Bed, we cannot save
Might as well shovel all our graves
You posture about April's blessed earth
Knowing nothing of nature and May's worth

Money talks louder than a storm
Pray keep us safe, and happy, and warm
All out to use our woodland friends
They're never far from greed again.....
