To The Blessed Beauty

Forgive me,
Blessed Beauty,
my feeble attempt
to explain
the sacred scriptures.

I cannot
arrive at an authoritative
interpretation of Thy Holy Words.

In my study
of the sacred text,
I can discover
a personal explanation
of the revealed verses.

For an authoritative interruption,
I must go to the writing
of 'Abdu'l-Baha
or Shoghi Effendi.
