Making the World a Kinder Place
Making the World a Kinder Place:
To The Blessed Beauty

"Where there is no vision the people perish."
Proverbs 29:18

We live in a world without vision,
where bombs fall
on the unfortified roofs of grade schools,
and bodies are stacked,
cord wood waiting for the fire.

To make the world a kinder place
humanity's vision must be restored,
its hope reestablished,
and its faith refreshed.

How can humanity's vision be restored?
Through knowledge of self:
within each human being
is the image of God;
as well as,
free will.

Human beings
can chose between virtue and vice,
can chose to do either
great good
or great evil

How can humanity's hope be reestablished?
One way
to reestablish hope
is to discover the common ground
underlying the diversity
in the human race.

How can humanity's faith be refreshed?
Find,
at least,
one good quality
in everyone you meet
or do business with;
this doesn't you have to put yourself in danger
by ignoring the bad qualities,
but it does mean
putting aside prejudice long enough
to find a good quality.
