In the Presence of the Beloved

In the Presence of the Beloved:
To The Blessed Beauty

I read the sacred scriptures,
and I am transported to the presence of the Beloved
through the words He has written.

Sometimes,
I wish I could have lived
when he walked upon the Earth,
but I was born
in the middle twentieth century
long after
His ascension
into the Abha Paradise.

To enter His presence
I must pray,
read the sacred scriptures,
meditate,
and attempt
to live my life for Him.

When my soul separates
from my body
I will stand in the presence
of the Beloved.
