Doing God's Work
Doing God's Work:
To The Blessed Beauty

How do I know,
I'm doing God's work?

I open the prayer app
on my smartphone,
and intone
the teaching prayer
for the Western States.

Even though,
I am a broken winged bird
I can still proclaim
the Blessed Beauty's name
through stanza and line.

Each time,
I say a prayer,
chant the Greatest Name,
or announce in simile and metaphor
the Blessed Beauty
I am doing God's work.
