Homeless
Homelessness

I am homeless. I do not like being without a home
Without food or a place to lay my head.
To take a warm shower or even what one feels like
When I find myself along.

I am Homeless I have nothing.
I do not know when I'll get my next meal
Or a warm blanket to keep me warm on a cold winter night.

Where can I find a place in from the cold.
If I have money I need to keep it safe
If the only thing you have on your back
Is what I have on for clothing
Not knowing what to do next.

It is winter here and I am cold
Nowhere to turn nowhere to go
I can feel the cold on my face and hands
I can smell rain and pine from the trees

I hear the sound of moving cars and trucks
I see the colors for winter from pale green to brown.
The squirrels find their acorns for their food.
It is disturbing that a bench is what I have.

I am alone and homeless
